Coat one side of your bread with a thin layer of butter. Set your air fryer to 375F.
Place the bread laying flat in the air fryer drawer and "fry" for 3 minutes, then flip and "fry" for another 2 minutes at 375F. Go longer if you prefer a crisper slice of bread.
While the bread is frying, slice the heirloom tomatoes into thin, large pieces, and chiffonade the basil. You can also leave the basil whole if you prefer, just rub it in your hands to bring out the aroma.
When the toast is done, lightly coat each piece with cream cheese, then top with the tomatoes, basil, and salt and pepper to taste.
Serve immediately!
