Perfect Pizza Sauce

Jump to Recipe Print Recipe
Finished Perfect Pizza Sauce

Some recipes are simple and meant to be classic. This style of Perfect Pizza Sauce is one of them. I’m not sure who first taught me this sauce, but I can guarantee you it was a friend who learned from a friend who learned from their grandma, and in a way, that makes me feel like it’s somewhat legit. 😉

This sauce is a no-cook, just-stir sauce, which is how traditional pizza sauce mandates it. So if you’re having a pizza party, consider this your no-mess, no-fuss, super-easy way to impress a crowd with just a few simple ingredients. Because it’s pizza, after all, what’s not to love?

Tomato sauce with herbs, garlic and seasonings

How to make this pizza sauce

This recipe is oh-so-easy and can be whipped together in under 10 minutes! It uses simple ingredients, like whole San Marzano tomatoes, and a simple process but yields the best pizza sauce. Just trust me. To make this sauce, you’ll need to:

  • Pour the tomatoes and all their juices in a bowl. Use your hands or scissors to gently break the tomatoes apart into small pieces.
  • Add in the olive oil, chopped garlic, oregano and basil. Stir and add the salt. Stir again and season to taste with more salt as needed.
  • Use as you need it!

What to use this sauce with:

I have lots of tips on what to pair this sauce with. You’ll be amazed at how many ways you can use this sauce!

Perfect Pizza Dough
This is my go-to pizza dough whenever I want pizza in an hour. It's simple, it's pretty hard to mess up, and it's so fun to make. The best part about pizza dough is it's pretty forgiving, perfect for a beginner baker or as a project to try at home!

Homemade Mozzarella
Making cheese at home is one of my favorite things. This recipe will show you how to make mozzarella at home, using mostly pantry staples. There are only a few ingredients that are a bit out of the ordinary, but once you are stocked up on cheese-making supplies, fresh mozzarella might become your new obsession.

I thought it would need more, but it’s a recipe that really needs nothing else. Plus I love that it’s good for us but also good for the planet.

You can find Patagonia Provisions Sardines + Beans at @wholefoods nationwide, and you can find where to shop Patagonia Provisions at the link in my bio 💚 🐠

A Basil Potato Salad. No, I never thought we’d A Basil Potato Salad.

No, I never thought we’d get here, either.

But I kind of love it - not too heavy, filled with texture, hit with that same (light!) acidic element that we all know a potato salad needs. Take this and impress your grandpa (..idk I feel like family members love a potato salad).

@tillamook Oregon Strawberry ice cream sandwiches, @tillamook Oregon Strawberry ice cream sandwiches, because whenever I make a cookie crust for a pie I’m always wondering why we don’t do the same with ice cream sandwiches? #TillamookPartner

And Tillamook has the best ice cream in your grocery store hands down, and I am never without either their Oregon Strawberry or Vanilla Bean. Both taste so creamy and so LUXE. Long live summer and long live Tillamook dairy. If you need me, I’ll be in the ice cream section 🙂‍↕️

My recipe can be found on Tillamook’s site, and I hope you make these ice cream sandwiches for a crowd this summer 💚
