
No way in hell did I think a video on mason jar ice cream would get over 4 million views on TikTok. But here is is, by far my most popular video yet, so I feel like I had to share it on the blog!
This recipe is all of the fun of ice cream with none of the work, plus you only need a few ingredients that you can find almost anywhere, and then you’re only minutes away from the most classic Americana dessert.
Plus my favorite thing to do is use this as a base to invent new flavors. I did cookie monster and fruity pebbles for mine, but I’m also interested in trying out maybe a coffee flavor? Or figgy toffee pudding? The possibilities are endless with this one!

Mason Jar Ice Cream
Equipment
- Mason jar
Ingredients
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
Optional add-ins
- 3/4 cup fruity pebbles
- 5 oreos crushed
- 2 chips ahoy crushed
- 3 drops blue gel food coloring
Instructions
- In the mason jar, add cream, sugar, vanilla and salt. Shake until the mixture doubles in size (about 5-10 minutes).
- Fold in the cereal (if you are doing the Fruity Pebbles ice cream) or fold in the food coloring and crushed cookies (to make the Cookie Monster ice cream).
- Store in a flat sealable container and freeze for at least 5 hours. Then enjoy!
