I’m going to be completely honest, these honey coriander tofu wings are a crispy tofu wing recipe inspired by….Disney World. You heard me right. This recipe is a take on the honey coriander chicken wings at the verrry popular Disney restaurant ‘Ohana. And say what you want about Disney adults, but they know good food when they see it 🙂
Sooooooo it’s fair to say these wings are the most magical tofu wings on earth right? Riiiiight??
Ok jokes aside, I know I’ve made a bunch of tofu recipes, but this one is definitely in my top favorites. It’s crispy but still gluten free, easily made in the oven or air fryer and COVERED in a sticky, sweet, savory sauce that is truly addicting. I can’t hype this crispy tofu recipe up enough!

Let’s talk about these honey coriander tofu “wings”
Chicken wings are amazing. But tofu wings might be better. Case in point: they are automatically boneless, what more could you want?
The key to a great chicken wing is the crispiness, and that’s the same with these tofu wings. But the best part about a tofu wing is you can achieve maximum crispiness without ever touching a fryer. In fact, I think deep frying tofu might make it more difficult to handle than if you just oven bake it. These tofu wings are designed to crisp up in convection oven heat, hold up to some thiiiick honey coriander sauce and still keep their delicious texture.
I’m not saying this is going to transform the wing-lover in your family to a tofu stan, but this is a great snack or entreé for any vegans or vegetarians who sometimes want to go elbows deep in a bucket of …”wings.”
What is the inspiration behind these tofu wings?
Like I mentioned in the into, the inspiration behind this recipe is the honey coriander chicken wings at the restaurant ‘Ohana in Disney World.
This is a cult-classic restaurant among Disney-goers, and before the pandemic servers would walk around the restaurant offering up batches of proteins directly from the skewers they were roasted on. It was a feast.
But even before the servers brought out those mamoth skewers, guests were served iconic appetizers, and one of the most beloved was the honey coriander wings.
You know I’m a veg-head, so I NEEDED to make a vegetarian version of ‘Ohana’s classic honey coriander chicken wings. And that’s how this recipe came to be. It’s a replica to the T…except for, y’know, the lack of chicken.
What you will need for this crispy tofu
And the beauty of this recipe is that the ingredients are so simple. Here’s everything you’d need to make the O’hana honey coriander wings at home:
For the tofu:
- 1 block firm tofu 15 ounces
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp olive oil
For the sauce:
- ⅓ cup honey
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon ground coriander
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
How to make these crispy tofu wings
You can make the wings either in the oven or the air fryer – but I am in LOVE with my air fryer right now. It is perfect for summer because it acts like a tiny convection oven, but you don’t have to heat up your whole house. Either way, these wings will get perfectly crispy if you give them enough time and patience! Here’s how to bring these honey coriander tofu wings together:
- Preheat your oven to 400F, or if you are using an air fryer, set it at 375F.
- Lightly press the moisture out of your tofu. Cube the tofu into 1×2’ pieces.
- Toss the tofu in the cornstarch until evenly coated, add the 1 tsp of oil to your air fryer or oven pan.
- Bake or air fry at 375F for 20 minutes. Flip the tofu and repeat for another 10-20 minutes or until golden and crispy.
How to make the sauce for these honey coriander tofu wings
Now the sauce is where the magic HAPPENS for these crispy tofu wings. Just trust. You will get lost in the sauce.
- To make the sauce, combine the honey, soy sauce, lemon juice and cornstarch and whisk together.
- In a skillet on medium heat, add the honey mixture, then the chili powder, coriander, and ginger and stir until combined. Continue to cook down the sauce for 2-3 minutes or until thick. Set the sauce to the side.

Just made this and wow, the flavor of the sauce is incredible. Not sure if that was the best part or that your recipe for crispy tofu in the air fryer is flawless. I’ve never done it before in there and am hooked! No more pan frying in oil for me. My only piece of feedback would be that the directions on the method of what to do with the olive oil was a little confusing. The video cleared it up (you put in the bowl with the tofu and tossed) but the method made it seem like I should put in air fryer. Video was super helpful. Will make again!! Can’t wait to try more
