If you are looking for a more unique frozen grape treat, may I PLEASE introduce you to Gingersnap Grapes. They are a quick and easy way to take your grapes and turn them into a really delicious, very fall-coded snack. You can serve them at parties or just keep them in your freezer for anytime. Believe me, there is no better feeling than craving a sweet treat and opening up my freezer to realize I have some Gingersnap Grapes laying around.

So what are ginger snap grapes?
Ginger Snap Grapes are just another variation of frozen grapes, but this time they are coated in ginger sugar, which you might be familiar with from my viral blueberry muffin recipe that uses a lemon ginger sugar.
A ginger sugar is simple: you just take fresh ginger and turbinado sugar and scrunch the ingredients together until they resemble wet sand. From there, the sugar and ginger and nearly one and the same. It tastes like ginger candy, but it takes less than 30 seconds to make. Plus, you can apply it to anything from baking to fruit. Does this mean I see a ginger-sugar cooking in our future?

Gingersnap Grapes
Equipment
- 1 large ziploc bag
Ingredients
- 3 cups red grapes
- 1/4 cup turbinado sugar
- 3 teaspoons freshly grated ginger about a 1-inch knob of ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground clove
Instructions
- Wash your grapes and lightly shake them dry, leaving a bit of excess moisture on them. Add them to a large ziploc bag.
- In a small bowl, add the turbinado sugar, grated ginger, cinnamon, and clove. Use your fingers to mash this together until the ginger has fully mixed with the sugar, giving it the consistency of wet sand.
- Pour the sugar into the bag with the grapes. Seal the bag, press out any excess air, and give it a few gentle flips and shakes so the grapes get coated in the sugar.
- Transfer the bag to a surface where it can lay flat so no grapes are overlapping, then freeze for 5 hours up to overnight. Enjoy whenever!

These are soooo yummy and addictive! They’re a little cold for my sensitive teeth straight out of the freezer. I may try em just in the fridge next time and see how I do.
These are soooo yummy. Totally addictive. And so easy to make, the perfect snack.
Super simple and unique recipe! Grapes aren’t typically a go-to snack for me, but the slightly addictive kick from the fresh ginger has me craving them for dessert. Pro-tip: eat them with chopsticks to avoid getting your fingers coated in spiced ginger sugar, unless that’s your thing !
